Rai Alexandra Acosta de Ivanic (b. 1973, Caracas) is a Venezuelan-born multiracial, multidisciplinary artist living and working in New York City. Rai’s early work is inspired by both, the bold experimentation of the Abstract Expressionists, and her love for the Arte Povera movement: textural, emotive and resourceful. She has been included in group exhibitions at Rush Art Gallery, New York, NY (2016), Verge Art Fair/Frieze Week, New York, NY (2014), Trade School at the Whitney, New York, NY (2011), and School of Visual Arts, New York, NY (2011). Rai has also received a few small commissions, including M&M Design International, New York, NY (2013), WebMD, New York, NY (2011). She studied at The New School  Parsons School of Design, The School of Visual Arts and Art Students League.
